All that you wanted to know about 2017 Acura NSX

2017 Acura NSX Chassis, Frame, & Body

The new version of Acura NSX uses the proprietary ‘Zero Delay Technologies’ a lot. For instance, the car’s framing uses the space-frame design for improved torsional control as well as yaw control.

The ‘Zero Delay’ design pertains to what the person driving the car feels at the wheels. Distinct and unequalled platform rigidity gives the total feeling of the suspension, steering, and power unit directly and without any delay to the driver.

Acura has opted to use aluminum extensively on both on the bodywork and the framing of the 2017 Acura NSX. In addition, more than one part of the car’s body uses carbon fiber, like the deck trunk.

2017 Acura NSX Features an Enhanced Power Train

In the latest version, the power train comprises of a twin-turbo V6, 3 electric generators/motors, a 9-speed automated DCT (dual clutch transmission) as well as a battery pack.

The car is a 4-wheel drive and the transmission and the engine are placed midships so that rear wheels are powered on impressively. One motor is at each of the two front wheels while the third motor is mounted on the car’s rear axle to give the new Acura NSX enhanced power boosting as well as additional regenerative braking. Thanks to this arrangement, the weight distribution is 42% at front and 52% at back.

The total output of the new variant is 573 hp, with 500 hp coming from the V6 engine. In addition to a 9-speed automated DCT, the latest version will boast of Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. It will also feature Continental ContiSportContact tyres. With such impressive components, the 2017 Acura NSX promises to become one of the most impressive supercars in the market.

2017 Acura NSX Release Date and Price

The new NSX car is going to be built at an all-new manufacturing centre, located in close proximity to an existent Honda plant, in Marysville in the state of Ohio.  The 2017 Acura NSX is not likely to be made available in every location worldwide. With that said, this is something that Honda has not yet confirmed.

The latest offering is expected to carry a price tag of about $155,000. Honda, however, is yet to release an official statement about the price.
