2017 Hyundai Elantra Review – Engine Specs, Safety Features, Price, and Release Date

The brand new redesigned 2017 Hyundai Elantra is about to be introduced in the US market in a matter of months, and so far we are seeing huge consumer expectations on the mid-sized sedan. From the auto show slated in November, Korean industry is up to it these time with better cars. Photos have been released how the car will look like, and basicaly known as the Avante its something to grace for, the Elantra will have a new design  a square shape from the normal design.

The front end will be of voguish design with narrower headlamps. New creases run across the body sides just above the door handle, and adding to the visual appeal the roof and trunk give out full details of the car. The dimensions of the car are almost different from its predecessors with a wheelbase of around 106 inches and an overall length of 0.75 inches. The new design will be wider by 1.0 inches and lower by 0.4 inches improving the handling significantly.

2017 Hyundai Elantra Engine Specs

The car will be debuted with up to three engines: A four Cylinder direct injection of 1.6 liters reaching 130 horsepower plus 119 lb-ft.Atkinson Cycle 2.0 liter engine with 147 horsepower reaching 132 lb-ft and a diesel engine of 1.6 liters. From rumors, we won’t be shown the prototype for the diesel engine type as the most likely car will be of petrol powered on fours. We aren’t sure if the 1.6 liters and Atkinson 2.0 liter are to be used in the car.

Though the current Elantra has 145-hp 1.8 liters and a 2.0 liter that burns up to 173. The new Hyundai Elantra will launch in Korea with three transmissions in relation to the engine type which include the six-speed manual, seven speed with dual clutch and Automatic six-speed. The efficiency of fuel is what the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra engine will offer to the market.Powerful engines for both city and highway drive come 2017.

2017 Hyundai Elantra Safety Features

Safety is a priority in any modern car as the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra is joining the race to provide most improved safety driver aids. The car will have automatic collisions systems to provide warnings for forward collisions. These will be through automatic braking incase of an emergency. Warnings for blind spots, traffic alerts fo rear cross, high beams automatic.

The 2017 Elantra will also have proximity keys which will also be used for unlocking the doors.Power seats especially the drivers. Airbags are fitted at the right places, all four doors will be electronic powered with better adjustments. The Elantra is fitted with safety belts for all passengers. For lighting, the car will have adjustments for fog lights, and uses premium LED lights for better visibility.

2017 Hyundai Elantra Price and Release Date

Though the US version has no more information when it’s to be unveiled, its believed that the 2017 Hyundai Elantra release date will go for sale before the end of the 2016 model year. We’re hearing the Hatchback version of the Elantra GT that have the same design as the current model which conflicts with some of the newest rumors out of Korea. The expected price will be around $25000 fully loaded which comes in thousands less than some of it’s biggest competitors.
