The BMW i3 concept has been able to come up with something different from the traditional BMW series, for instance, the M and the X model.  In this article, we will be talking about the i3. A similar concept had come out in the year 1991 which was branded as the 1991 BMW E1, but it never lived up to its lofty expectations. It soon became a sort of after-thought, but the next generation model will be everything but.

In the following 2017 BMW i3 review we take a first-look at the new interior, exterior, engine specs, release date, and price.

2017 BMW i3 Review – Interior, Exterior, and Engine Specs

We can begin by saying that the designers of the 2017 BMW i3 concept have done a very good job on the interior of this car.  Everything has been done in the most unconventional way ever seen. It has tried to borrow some notes from some of the traditional models. It has however tried to advance most of its concepts from futuristic perspective.  Just like the other 2017 BMW’s, this particular model will have the same location of the screen multimedia system, control panel and radio or iDrive steering multifunction wheel drive.

Save for the keys, the interior of this car has been designed with a lot of uniqueness. The seats have also been made to be relatively high. This coupled with glass of larger surface area makes it possible for the passengers to see both the front and the sides of the car while travelling.  Engineers of BMW’s electric car concept have decided to use recycled materials or those of biological origin. Take for instance, the seats have been upholstered in natural leather which is natural chemistry instead of opting to use the olive leaves, wood or recycled textiles.  The section under the windscreen and the door panel will form part and parcel of the black matt finish.  This section has been using recycled plastic,

The 2017 BMW i3 exterior will offer a revolutionary body structure that will typify what the concept of many upcoming electric cars will be.  The lower body have been made of aluminium while the cabin area is composed of carbon.  This has been able to make the vehicle as light as is reasonably possible. This only means that it will have a good degree of fuel efficiency.  The designers have been bold enough to try out new ideas and for this reason the shape will look so unique.

As for the 2017 BMW i3 engine, the driver should be ready for a 250 Newton meters.  This should not really come as a surprise.  It has an electric motor whose power decreases only slowly.  It would be very easy to overtake other vehicles using this car.

2017 BMW i3 Review – Release Date and price

The 2017 BMW i3 price will come in between $33,000 to $35,000 US dollars for the base model and will significantly more for all the bells and whistles. The release will be during the spring of 2017, but it’s not expected to make it to all markets worldwide. The 2017 models will definitely launch in Germany, but from here no one knows as of yet where it will end up next.
